Let's start this fresh and new.

Since Facebook disabled our account 5 months ago ( due to music copyright infringement - so they say) , we weren't able to post much on social media. Unfortunately, our pictures and videos from classes and performances were gone as well. Yes, Facebook can be a pain sometimes. Oh well, there has gotta be a way to keep students, non students as well as parents in touch with what's happening here at The Dance Dept.

So, here we are.

Every year we would have our annual student recital. Students would get all excited over it because it is only done once a year. This year, however, by God's grace we have expanded and the venues that we used to have our recitals could no longer fit. When we started off, our recitals were held at the studio itself because we could not afford any other places nor do we have sufficient amount of students to even have a proper recital.

The rest is history.

3 months ago, the students were busy rehearsing for their upcoming Recital 2018. They were excited and stressed all at the same time. But it was all worth it at the end.

On Sunday, August 26, 2018 we had our 9th Annual Student Recital at Penang Performing Arts Center ( PenPac ) and it was the biggest group we've ever had. Including the Music Department, we had about 135 participants. Backstage was insane. Well, the STAGE was insane too! In a good way of course! We had the time of our lives!

Kids and adults were all on fire! They were lit! And all we told them was to go out there and enjoy themselves. That's the whole point.
